Comics loved hanging with Ant, and Jim when he was in. Opie thought that made him the Godfather of comedy.

Gregg thought he was the Don of stand-up in New York. In a Fredo way he was for a while. Great comics saw through his shit and trashed him to his face. He never embraced what his role was. Letting funny people work and don't step on jokes. Just say fuck instant feedback if the guys in the room are crushing. Must steamroll. Feel my meek presense.

Opie made millions. Patrice paid for gas to do the show. Who was better?

God, it's true. They should have switched paychecks... and fates.

Opie's eye for talent was over-exaggerated. He found Ant. Jim was friends with these comics, they came in because of him. Opie has kept Sam around though, make of that what you will.

He's also scouted great talent like Troyquan, Roland, Judy Gold, Esther Ku, Jim Florentine and THEEE XXXTREEM Jason Ellis. Shit-tits did 2 things properly in 20 years. What a fine eye for talent, huh?
