I'm really trying to hear both sides out on this. I know that sounds faggy but they both have a shitload of bad stories they can pull on each other at this point. Opie seems to lack self awareness, but Ant seems like a guy who sucks at communicating his problems to people he has problems with. I doubt he ever called Bill Burr about the Patrice Benefit after making a thing of it for the weeks leading up to it. Hearing them throw past shit at one another is good radio but you really don't know how much of any of it to believe since they're both fighting.

Nothing was as good as O&A&J. No sub division of that will ever be as good. I have been fucking depressed as hell over it since the firing. I'm not TeamOpie. I'm not TeamAnt. A lot of us (myself included) think that A&J would be as good if not moreso. The Opie and Ant split sucks for me mostly because it split Ant from Jim. I honestly don't believe that Opie played any sort of beneficial role on the show, at least not one that couldn't easily be replaced by someone far more beneficial.

O&A&J worked, but how much of that do you really credit to Opie? I think A&J could easily work on their own but especially if you get someone who doesn't have the same blatant flaws that Opie did to run the board and (somewhat) direct the show.

Even though in the end we all knew how Opie was, a small part of me still feels like everything I loved and laughed at was a lie.

It was sad to see how it ended in July and then the slow realization that the show was never getting back together again.

This was at least some interesting radio for a couple of days, moreso on Anthony's part as I feel he's at least being honest. But yeah, it does generally suck all around. O&J is largely unlistenable and while TACS is still improving, it's still nowhere near the level of peak O&A.

I honestly never had much of a problem with Opie during the O&A days and surely this subreddit exposed some stuff, but it's largely been his actions since Ant's firing that has made me turn on him. I think Ant addressed it perfectly that Opie has this "holier than thou" opinion of himself and dismisses any criticism from fans as being haters...plus the complete turnaround on bashing management and just the amount of lies...ugh...whatever, just sucks all around.

I'm past the depression; now I'm just looking forward to what the future holds for Ant. I've given Opie the benefit of the doubt more or less since July. This morning ended that.

They both need a proper solution to this. It's going to follow their careers for as long as they both have shows and they just can't MOVEONMOVEONMOVEON. Now the fans (this sub in particular) has a taste of blood they (we) won't let go. Guests in the studio will occasionally bring it up and they'll be forced to discuss it or tell them not to mention O&A anymore.

If they do it properly they can salvage a decent relationship out of it. However that would take a great deal of effort that neither can be bothered to put in, and a level of self awareness and humility that neither might be capable of.
