it's actually real sad how a man's self-delusion, pathological lying and lack of self-awareness would take such an emotional and mental toll on someone who had such a long and financially successful career and stable home life perceived by many. I know it's unpopular for me to say this on here but I do have some sort of semi-compassion for the guy. .....or maybe he was trying to carny everyone there in the room and on the staff b/c he sensed not one person there were buying into any of his bullshit live on the air as he was saying those things.

He wasn't emotional because Ant hurt his feelings. He was emotional because of the Greggshells thing; the fact that people he knows, likes and possibly even trusts are actually treating him like he's special and has to be coddled. He's never had to face that side of himself before and now he does....at least for a little bit.
