Opie is a house of cards, and this will be too much for his fragile psyche. If he doesn't acknowledge the TACS show, he's an avoidant coward. If he does acknowledge it, he turns his fans onto it (good call making it free, Ant), who will then see how much of a lying manipulating cunt he is. I don't think anybody can sympathise with somebody who snaps his fingers at interns. He can't win.

Now that Anthony has put his cards on the table, Opie is going to look to Jimmy for validation and sympathy. Jimmy will likely be forced to side with one of them, and it will probably be Anthony. Not because he's a beacon of integrity, but because he's a sycophantic whore and realizes siding with Opie makes him look bad.

Once Ant gets his studio in NYC up and running, Jimmy will be on the TACS show much more often, and will make way better radio than O&J. Opie will inevitably notice this and feel threatened. He will decide he wants to move on to something else, and will claim this was his plan all along. That's if he even makes it that long, of course.
