I don't blame Ant for not releasing his show on youtube (because who would pay for it then?). However I use youtube in my car often. Mainly because I just got into Ron and Fez last year so I still have a lot to listen to.
Even O&A stuff. I got into them like 2.5 years ago and I've listened to countless hours of show and there is still so much on youtube that I can listen to for free.
I listen because it perfectly fits my morning commute.
I don't always listen though, sometimes I just have to turn it off and I tune back to 99 or 95 and hear stand up bits I've heard 20 times before. But it is still more enjoyable.
To be honest, there are some good moments of the show. Like recently they had Trevor Noah in and he had a lot of interesting shit to say.

Greg Opie Hughes is a compuslive liar and probably a sociopath and has zero ability to except any legitimate constructive criticism and labels everyone who tries a hater and all his staff have to walk on "Gregshells" around him. The sub and many fans tried to help him and wanted him to improve by pointing out legitimate constructive criticism but Opie pushed back lied and lied and distorted reality which ended up making this subreddit go back and dissect all the bullshit and lies from years of audio on youtube which has been fueling our hate for about a year with no end insight which could have all been negated by Opie taking some responsiblity and acknowleding his bullshit. He is also mean and brutal as fuck, jokingly and non-jokingly to people on the air but has no ability to take a joke at his expense. He also lies daily while calling everyone else a lair constantly. He's a walking mentally ill hypocrisy.
Ant has many issues too but he will acknowledge legit constructive critiscm and he is a funny and interesting dude who can riff with the best.

On the spot, he basically screams at valid criticism and shuts down at nerve-hitting jokes. With time to prepare, he spews outrageous ideas about what he believes others are thinking, which are just obvious projections of his own thoughts, and he pretends the jokes were never made.
Opie is a complete fraud in the entertainment business and it's an everyday struggle for him to maintain the rapidly disintegrating illusion that he has any legitimate place within it. I don't know if Opie's hatred for Ant is based on jealously, but I wouldn't be surprised one iota. The lowly tin knocker does everything but play the symbols between his knees.

The same job that Opie always said he'll quit and walk away from, without Any consideration of all the other people on the show that depend on that show for a paycheck. The crazy thing about all of this is that this beef was spurred on by the fans for their own amusement more than anything else, and Op and Ant played right into it. I'm certain that Ant's fans believe they're in the right and are helping him, but it's clear that neither of these two men are enjoying this situation they've stupidly walked into.

It seems like Anthony is absolutely loving the situation and probably gained a few extra subscribers by throwing Opie under the bus. From what I can tell is that the internet hates Opie but as far as loyalty is concerned Anthony threw Opie under the bus while Opie directed people to Anthony's show and even suggested Anthony make a call to the station because the bosses were no longer pissed about Anthony.

Opie certainly has it worse, and he's proven himself to be a worse decision maker in the aftermath of the firing (though that's not saying IMHO.) I agree Ant may very well be shooting himself in the foot. Opie is at a huge disadvantage, his confidence is much lower than Anthony's and he just does not sound as good when defending himself. But I think in the end Opie will continue making higher budget radio and Cumia burned the only bridge that would have brought him back to mainstream. Cumia will still have loyal followers that may not take him as far as he wants to be but Cumia will certainly not disappear any time soon...in my opinion.

I think Opie may have tried but in the end realized that he needed to secure his own job above all. After all they did not get along and Anthony built a studio in his own house. Even though Anthony claims to have not wanted to go solo if I looked at the situation from Copies eyes and seen my partner was set up to work without me AND we barely got along, I would have worried about myself first. From Anthony's own stories about the situation, he didn't fight for his own job. Anthony was to angry to talk it over with anyone and had to much pride to do anything else.

This assumption flew in the face of an obvious unspoken commitment to the show, which sustained their partnership, contract after contract, despite 10+ years of limited off-air personal contact.
To me, Opie's behavior was so outrageous that it makes me doubt his truthfulness. It makes me think he simply didn't want to work with Ant anymore and that it was he who viewed the firing as a blessing.

I think that there is no doubt that Opie wanted some Anthony free time. I'm sure there was a point where Opie feared for his own job at a point. I think that Ant getting fired did present Opie with everything Opie wanted for the taking plus a raise. While at the same time Anthony was setting up a studio in his own houseand getting a crew together. They wanted time apart and Opie was lucky enough to be able to get that plus a raise, honestly don't blame the man. Anthony didn't blame him either... For a little bit.
