He goes on saying that the job was great, got alot of money for doing nothing. It was a "dream job". Opie's mood would fuck up the show. If opie had a problem it would fuck up the show and ruin all the fun.
Contracts: Opie was stalling the signing and not telling anyone anything which made Ant and the Staff miffed. The constant " I am leaving" bullshit was getting to him.
When Ant got fired in july, he thought that the show would be over, not O&J or anything, because Opie was saying he was done before the firing.
Management: I give jimmy the benefit of the doubt for not beeing able to taking a stand towards management because he does not have the juice. Ant does not know what Opie did to help Anthony to get his job back.
Anthony is persona non grata at SiriusXM.
Anthony would play stick up for Opie if the situation was reversed, Ant mentions the TOP GEAR situation.
Ant now says he thinks Opie did not have his back, Ant is saying Opie is bullshiting when he says he had Ants back infront of managment
Anthony doesn't want have a beer or a phonecall with opie, "we owe it to the people that made us sucessful". We aired everyones dirty laundry for years, opie should not have an issue with it. "what are you afraid of Senator"
Opie had a problem with Melinda, after that some resentment felt towards Ant. Ant did not like how Opie treated Melinda "it was directly disrespectful towards me". I did not say anything because I did not want to "walk on gregshells" (refers to reddit)
Anthony felt like the shit towards Melinda was going to far.
"The only reason we lasted 20 years was the amount of times I kept my mouth shut, Opie can't take a joke. Bob kelly could take shit but the second he said a joke towards Opie, opie would loose his shit."
Opie took things personally, there was a weird vibe where noone corrects Opie.
The relationship fell apart after the shit Opie gave Melinda.
Alot of people that left the show would badmouth opie, opie was clueless why people would hate on opie after they left
Opie has a superiority complex, there was a feeling that you better listen to what he said or he would leave the show.
Opie made every little issue bigger, like the phones being broke, Opie threw a phone at jimmy once during his anger
Opie has a hard time dealing with people, Ant told Opie once: stopp snapping your fingers to the interns, treating them like shit
Keith : There was a snowstorm, I had to pick up Opie but my car broke, Opie told him : What am I even paying you for, what are you doing here".
Keith wanted to quit, he did not like beeing treated like that by Opie.
Opie should cater more to the fanbase, he should have been humbled by moving to satellite radio (f
or celeb rejects).
Ant thanks god for Jimmy Norton, Jimmy gave a buffer between Ant and Opie.
Ant wants to hear how Opie battled for Opie, Ant has heard through people at Sirius Xm that there weren't much of a fight.
