Realistically, after a flurry of 'Leave it alones', Opie could destroy Anthony in a verbal debate about this situation by simply saying...

"I never went to bat for you, because I personally do feel you're a racist and I didn't want to broadcast with you and your wacko rhetoric anymore. It became increasingly uncomfortable for the last several years, and I had just had enough."

Sure, it wouldn't do anything to change the minds of Anthony's fanbase, but it would certainly cement Anthony's doom in the established broadcast industry, AND probably generate huge buzz.

You all seem to be of the mindset that it's Opie that's against the ropes here, but quite the opposite is true as far as power position goes. It's Anthony who's more or less been the outcast since his firing. It's Anthony who's lost his audience and reach.

Opie could easily put the final nail in that coffin with the general populace if this gets that nasty. I would hope that he wouldn't do that, but thinking that Anthony has the upperhand here is just silly.
