He opened the show implying (without a hint of sarcasm) how hip he is because he is a fan of the Black Keys. He then bragged about his relationship with Ricky Gervais (not dissimilar to a mental patient bragging of a non-existent relationship with the Queen of England). He stroked his own ego some more until convicted felon Bernard Kerik came in and brought Opie to climax by stroking Opie's ego.
Opie wants it both ways. He wasn't lying, every story he's ever told is true, but also, he won't acknowledge the story and will not bring up anything that harkens the show's dark past.
I like shows with Ricky in the room but they cover the same topics. They have an A list star and they just ask him the same questions about animal abuse and people being 'offended' Some other topics would be nice.
