Would Ant still have a job if he apologized?

I think he should've, I can't see his podcast being enough for him to maintain the lifestyle he's accustomed to.

No. They(Management and Opie) wanted him gone, and use the 1st excuse they could find.

I agree. I think they saw an opportunity to save a lot of cash.

And Opie saw an opportunity to get his own radio channel.

I think if he wasn't ranting like a drunken lunatic on Twitter for 5+ days, yeah, maybe a phone call to the bosses would have smoothed things over and they could have figured out a trajectory to save the show.

People forget that, at least on twitter, it seemed like Ant was blackout drunk for like 10 fucking days before he deleted six months of tweets randomly.

I'm sure opie and management hired that black chick to assault Ant. They gave her some envelopes maaahhhnn.

Ask Paula Deen.

good question, I bet that an apology from him was on the table at some point during that small window of time. So staying with that thought process, he probably could tell it wasnt going to work, so it just never was formalized.

No, I don't think anyone asked him to apologize. He had no interaction with Sirius between the incident and the email notifying him of his dismissal.

The more I think about it, that is an enormous amount of money left on the table, to not consider throwing an apology in to smooth things over. It had to have crossed his mind or been negotiated at some point.

I don't believe there was an opportunity to apologize: Anthony was never called to meet with Sirius XM executives to discuss the situation, their first communication was an email informing him of the termination of his contract.

No. It was a lose lose.

I don't think an apology would have saved him because the company is obviously run by incompetents, they fired him despite the fact the people complaining weren't subscribers in the first place and they lost a lot of subs.

I also actually believe him when he said he couldn't apologize after the apology clock bit and everything he said in the past.

I think you can probably get away with some off-color jokes if you grovel and do the whole apology tour.

Doubling down with crime statistics and Bell Curve tweets, that's only like the 10th most reckless thing Ant's done in the last 5 years, but no way was the media going to forgive him.

nigga are you cray cray, hes making big bucks hence the city studio being purchased
