I have to say, I'm not a fan of Opie

I know this is the "Opie and Anthony" subreddit, so you all are fans of the show. But I gotta tell you, I don't think Opie is a very good broadcaster, or even a likable personality.

Before you freak out and call me a nincompoop, let me justify myself. It's a regular occurrence in the studio that someone (say, comedian/actor/paradoxically-sexually-honest-closet-case Jim Norton) will be telling a joke or amusing anecdote of some kind and Opie will interrupt and tell them to be quiet so he can take a call or otherwise control the conversation. I don't know about you guys, but I prefer when the witty broadcasters and comedians in the room get to talk and joke freely and aren't interrupted for unnecessary and unfunny interludes. Also, some of the stories Opie tells about his childhood, his travails with women, and his putative interactions with organized crime strike me as fabrications or at least exaggerated versions of real events.

Finally, I'm not sure it was appropriate for Opie to re-sign his contract after Anthony Cumia was fired. Maybe it's just me, but I think working with a talented man like "Ant" for twenty years warrants some loyalty. I don't know if you've seen this in the news, but the gentleman from Top Gear was recently fired and his coworkers stuck by him admirably. I would've liked to see a similar gesture from Opie, and even from Jim (whom I otherwise think is a fabulous entertainer).

Sorry for carrying on like this, I know these opinions won't make me "Mr. Popular" in this subreddit.
