Is it because his name is in the title? Honestly. He really contributes nothing entertaining and "kind of" steers the conversation. Is that really worthy of getting paid so much more?

Opie went to college and got the degree and fetched the bagels and was Spuds Buckley and did garbage shifts to play terrible records. He came up in the business the "right way" to all the stuffed suits and idiotic bores at SXM. Anthony was always the dumb, alcoholic, Ginzo sidekick who could do impersonations to management, not a real "radio guy." Even after he did the show for 10 years and was clearly the star, he wasn't the real "radio guy."
Opie always motherfucked behind the scenes and presented himself as the Seasoned Pro to management. Management doesn't listen to the shows, obviously, so they wouldn't know that Ant was the star of the show and Opie was a sack of tit-meat that was hurting the show.
As for Jimmy? Ant and the producers had to fight management for 15 years to keep him on air. If Ant was just a sidekick, then Jimmy was a circus freak persona non grata and disgusting pervert to them. Jim always said, rightfully so, that management was trying to fire him. Trying to get him to do less hours, skip Mondays or Fridays, that he had "bad energy" for the show (when his rapport with Ant was tremendous!). Since they didn't listen to the show they didn't know how much Jim brought to the show. They didn't know he brought in his Cellar friends, hysterical characters and excellent chemistry with Ant.

Cause the other two, don't fight or like confrontation, Opie, I can see over values himself, talks alot of shit about leaving, and management buckles. Jimmy had no business sense, neither does Ant plus he really does not like confrontation. So I can see him taking what was offered while Opie talked mad game, and took what he wanted.
