Keith Robinson was sharing a storing about him seeing this light skinned black girl and when the girl brought him home, the mom said something like "get this dark skinned nigga out of here." She basically did not want her light skinned daughter dating a dark skinned man (you know, that Hotel Rwanda shit). Anyway, Opie laughs and chimes in with...

How does Keith know, from that experience, how the white man feels? He was being discriminated against for being black; that's not the experience of the white man. It makes no sense. That joke only makes sense if Opie was talking to the girl and she was the one sharing the story, and even then it wouldn't be funny, but it would at least make sense.
Opie constantly goes for jokes that make absolutely no sense. He is as dumb as they come.
EDIT: oh, and he called him Keith Robertson.

I enjoy listening to Jim try to be funny with only Opie there to bounce jokes off of and see how they fail miserably because Opie can't keep up. Plus, it's an exercise in "how stupid is Opie today"

It's even worse than that. Even when there's no meaning or context, they are the worst sounding noises in radio. They're like Stupidity turned into physical sound waves and assaulting your ears. It's as if a chimpanzee shat Opie-voice into its hand and threw it at you.

To be honest I didn't give up on O&J until the time of the Charlie Hebdo attacks. I remember when that happened I thought "I'd like to hear Jimmy's take on that." That was the last time I ever thought that. I love Jimmy a lot, but O&J is just... empty.
Actually it's worse than nothing. Opie somehow has found a way to add emptiness to the show just by being there. He is such a bore that Jimmy can't get anything done with him. How do you sit in a room with a comedian who has had a few specials and absolutely fail at making a show that caters to what he does best? I know people here don't think his specials are as funny as he is on the show. I tend to agree. But still, clearly he has more skill at producing entertaining comedy than Opie does with producing entertaining radio on his own.
I guess that is the problem. Instead of O&J being centered on the funny personality, it's is centered on an empty, worthless person.
