I'm watching this episode right now. I was cringing just thinking about how bad his acting was going to be (from his YouTube show). Surprisingly, he did pretty good. A believable performance

He's still a backstabbing rat, but he didn't ruin Better Call Saul

The director of this particular episode (Adam Bernstein) is a master. If anyone can squeeze talent out of a backstabbing hack like DeRosa, it'd be him.

& he directed "it's Pat" so he has experience with awful comedy

Hahahaaa. Oh, man. Well said.

His natural approach to rats was what landed him the gig as a veterinarian.

Plus his expert knowledge of canine anal glands was quite impressive.

He's still a backstabbing rat

Oh, of the lowest order. But yeah, he wasn't as shitty as he could have been.

Couldn't stop staring at his fat neck

It's amazing how good you can look when you're surrounded by talented people. Does that sound familiar? ME: I invented Ant and Jim

"What will my black Labrador friends say"

I was amazed that somehow that white coat didn't slide right off his back. They must've had to pin it to his undershirt... shoulderless zilch. Literally anyone could have played that role.

I dunno... I think Jimmy coulda found a way to blink that entire scene into being cut from the show.

"Your tests show - ahhhh sniff - a tumor in your frontal cortex. blinkblinkblink You know I once had a tranny prostitute pushing a dildo so far up my ass I thought my frontal cortex would come out my nose."

Clearly he got the gig thanks to old Billy Redface, and not his acting abilities.

That chin sucks

what chin?

Joe Derosa is an effective vet. When it's time to put a dog to sleep he just does his act til the dog kills himself. But after an owner hits a dog, he can't be the dog's vet anymore because the dog barked after being hit

Looks like he pulls off "stereotypical nerd" pretty well.

*This could be the greatest show in the world. I have no idea. But that picture is a stereotypical nerd. The glasses, the hair, the slumped shoulders, the pasty skin. He's doing things in a lab.

He played a vet who stitched up Mike's bullet wound in his shoulder. It actually was a good scene and he didn't ruin it.

There aren't nearly enough posts about Joe DeRosa being on Better Call Saul. Can you do me a favor and post a bunch more please.

-Thanks.
