Patrice was a bloodhound when it came to sniffing out fakes and liars, so there is not a single doubt in my mind that he clocked Opie pretty quick. I think he reigned it in because he loved doing the show and hanging out with Ant and other comics, but it just seems odd that he would attack anyone and everyone apart from Opie.
Also, recent thing that has made me want to stab Opie's eyes out with renewed vigour: He always talks about how in the first few years of Patrice's appearances "they" were intimidated by him.
Ant disagrees with this every time it's brought up, but Opie continually reiterates the point. Am I fucking crazy or does Opie occasionally let things slip that make you realise he is a much worse racist than Ant ever could be?
Opie is exactly the kind of white guy Patrice talked about hating: the one who is racist but hides it and acts how he thinks a brother acts.

Patrice really had no problem calling out Opie on an over the top lie. Like when he claimed he liked Eminem, Patrice immediately was like, okay, name one line by Eminem then.
