What is the point of having a radio show if not to antagonise.

Why does Opie think we wanna hear him be friends with people? Hey Adam Carolla's coming in. Oh they seem cool now. Vince Vaughn phoner. Oh he's just plugging a no doubt disastrous comedy film. Coming up the boys have a lovely chat with Joy Behar.
What happened to Linda Blair? Leslie Nielsen? A shitty author at least? Fuck Opie and Jim.

These men are in the winter of their years and want to make peace. Entertaining stuff alright!

Well, Leslie Nielsen is dead, for one.

It's really unlistenable. I don't get to listen live, so I check in to see what's playing from time to time, but more often than not, it's Vos and Bonnie (meh), Joe Rogan (can get it for free) or some other show I'm not paying to hear.
They aren't even replaying the show anymore, it seems. Just an "accelerated", where I might hear Esther Ku's ukelele for the 30th time this week, sandwiched in between segments from Dr Steve and Jim's advice show.
I'm the dummy for sticking with it this long, but if they haven't sorted out a 3rd mic by the time my subscription is up for renewal, I'm finally pulling the plug. These guys had their chance. I'm glad "management likes the show", but they aren't getting my money for this product anymore.

I think Sams 3rd mic. They'll save a ton of money.

Welp, anyone want to buy a radio?

I used to have to pause the show at work so I wasn't crying laughing at times.
Two elderly men reading celebrity gossip headlines with their mulatto sidekick doesn't do a thing for me.

You do realize that you are listening to something called "Opie Radio"..what did you really expect?

Well, for starters, it should be entertaining and secondly, it should be funny if they brand themselves as a comedy show. I'll take those two principles over antagonizing people.

Opie doesn't play pranks on people anymore. They used to mess with in-studio guests and phone calls. I still remember when they called Peyton Manning and had a conversation with him and Opie kept goofing around.
I expect him to go full morning zoo and play wacky soundbytes but he's just so nice to everyone now, it's so much different from back in the day. There ain't no back in the day no mo.

They're no longer trying to speak to a young crowd, and they've stopped lying about their ages.
To your to point though, when Imus got older he still had funny shit on. Songs, berating conversation, but matured with the audience.
Fuck it, I have no idea where I'm going

Whenever Opie started doing that "the other side of Opie" shit (which happened along with his fatherhood) is so clearly when he entered a new level of sucking

Gregg Hughes "the actor," I think you mean.
