What's with the Opie hate

Hopefully I don't get a lot of flak for asking this question, and please pardon my ignorance. I started listening to Opie & Anthony about 6 months ago and fell in love with the show. I found everyone hilarious. Shortly afterwards ant was fired, which bummed me out, but by no means stopped me from being a listener. I still listen everyday and love the show. Opie is kind of just there and Jimmy cracks my shit up. I guess my question is, why does everyone in the subreddit hate Opie so much? And I would appreciate serious, thought out answers. Not "because he's a fucking cunt coward." or whatever. Thanks guys.

Don't have people repeat themselves. It's a dead horse issue. In short, the man has no self awareness and doesn't care if his life's work is entertaining, which is his business.

Those were some of the most boring, least funny shows in O&A history. Maybe you just have a taste for the mediocre
Go to Jasonayeiter's or Steven Knight's YouTube channel and enjoy classic O&A. Jimmy doesn't sound like he's been diagnosed with Lymphoma. Opie is almost tolerable because Anthony's greatness eclipses hackiness.
Also, this question gets asked once every two weeks. There are hundreds of posts that have dissected the man's foibles with astonishing insight. You want "serious" answers, but this sub gave up on that several months ago. Go back, and do some research
