He's opted for a 30 day pseudo-rehab from cigarettes, whilst living in a small 1960's trailer alone [and occasionally a stinky dog he hates in a profound way] and trying to be a normal-ish person. It's fucking hilarious.
it's fair to say that I'm over Doug Stanhope he doesn't suck and he's not boring. In my personal opinion he needs help to stay interesting he was a good guest on Howard a few years back

Stanhope seems like the comic version of Hunter Thompson. Weird dude but fascinating in some strange incalculable way.

Never really listened to his podcast, just subscribed. Anyone here listen and have any favorite episodes/starting off points?
I must admit this "Tin Can Rehab" with Stanhope seems like it'd be wicked entertaining. I'm very interested.

Thank you for this.
RadioPodcast Gold. Consistent content. I wish Doug the best.1 dxInt 2015-03-04
I've struggled with the Stanhope podcast in the past. He gets a lot of voices on there that are personal friends, but not funny or interesting.
If this is just him alone in a trailer, it could be great.
