I suppose I should prepare for an attack, but I think Kathleen Madigan is pretty fucking funny. I always wonder why her name is never brought up one way or the other, considering she is best buds with Lewis Black. Either way, she is one of the few female comics who I think is legitimately funny and who doesn't get by based on her looks or do the same hack dating sex etc etc stuff that comics like Amy Shumer and Iliza Scheslingwhatever do.
I liked her Comedy Central stand up special she had back in the 90's when I was a kid. I don't hear about her anymore, but I'm guessing it's because she doesn't focus on sex and doesn't really whore it up for promo shots and tv.
She has two funny specials from the past few years that are on Netflix. She doesn't have his same style, but I can see how her and Lewis Black tour together. They definitely share similarities. And I have never seen her come off like a hole or anything like that. She seems to be of the agreeable sort.
