Famous people who know more about the O&A show than they admit

Sometimes I get the vibes that some guests are bigger fans of the O&A than what they convey, for whatever reason. Off the top of my head:

  • Larry King - I realize he is a friend of the show and is a professional interviewer, but he knew exactly what questions to ask Opie the other day. Larry was acting naive, but it seems like he was tuned in with the situation between Ant and Opie.
  • Rich Vos - Not really famous, obviously a friend/fan of the show. Only guest who makes fun of Opie. Seems more tuned in to the hate than others.
  • Ryan Phillipe - I can't remember why specifically but during his interview a while back he gave off the impression that he was a fan. I think he brought up the Rumsfeld/lizard interview which I realize is a better known bit, but still happened a long time ago. Seems like any Hollywood actor would to some degree be afraid to align too closely with the show since it's not uber lib.

Vos isn't famous and the other two guys are not listeners. Kevin Pollack is the only famous person who listens to the show

Patton Oswalt

Gavin Mcinnes....... wait, scratch that.

Colin Hanks is a huge fan. Same with Bobby Moynihan from SNL. Also Matt Iseman, the host of American Ninja Warrior, although he's not exactly a household name he did convey to Ant on TACS that he's been a huge fan for years. He even asked about Bobo.

Robin Williams was a huge fan of the show, he only lasted a month after Anthony left before tapping out

I'm not an american, but whenever there is a celebrity that was an extra in a movie I know, I know is there only because the person is rotating through a ton of shows during the day.

I hate to break it to you, but no one relevant to pop culture cares for radio anymore. It's a dead medium.

I'm sure some of the guests might have been fans when they were kids, but only a cult follwoing of creeps like us share a fandom for a radio show.
