Anyone find it strange that a man at looks like Anthony cumia really holds on to his perceived white identity?

if I were to show a full blown racist from 1910 a picture of Opie and Anthony he would ask what his Nordic brother Opie is doing with that middle eastern frumpy looking mother fucker Anthony.

Like on a serious note Anthony Cumia would likely not be able to apply for jobs at he turn of the 20th century in NYC.

The way Anthony talks about race you would think he looks like Opie, what gives?

No self awareness?

Also ever notice how really aesthetically unattractive men make up a big percentage of racist?

With his bad skin, horrible afro and sunken eyes that are set too close together, he looks like a puerto rican gang member from Death Wish 2.

His chin looks like a foot in this photo.

Races that are now considered white that weren't always usually have the most vitriolic racism.

That's the worst picture of Drago ever.

true Antony has a face for Radio but at least he's talented unlike Opie. Ant should watch the scene from True Romance btw Hooper and Walkin again...Hey Ant "You're part eggplant".

The concept of "whiteness" is really an American ideal. Historically, Europeans labeled themselves as Anglos, Latins or Slavs.

When our Founding Fathers discussed whiteness, the idea exceeded skin color. Being white was a political designation - based on skin color/religion/sex/etc.

Preferred people were white, anglo-saxon, protestant males. Northern Europeans are (mostly) Anglos. Slavs are located (mostly) in Eastern Europe. Italy, Spain, Portugal & France are overwhelmingly Latin cultures.

Being an Italian, Anthony is technically Latin. Italy was home to the Roman Empire, which gave rise to Latin culture. Italians, to this day, still consider themselves Latin. It should also be noted that Italians are overwhelmingly Catholic.

So, Anthony is not "white" by Founding Fathers' standards (wrong religion, wrong skin color, wrong heritage)- but is according to new labels created at the turn of the 20th century.

If you travel to Europe, the idea of whiteness is nearly non-existent. Labeling Italians/French/Spanish as "white" severely undermines their impressive cultural histories - which are very unique and distinct from Anglo-Saxon cultures and traditions.
