Is it really so surprising that Howard is his inspiration? Stern did so much for this type of radio that if there was no Stern there would be no o&a like we know. Stern is the face of shock jock radio. Opie is also a delusional fucking idiot if he thinks Stern didn't influence him.

And then Ant would relay stories of him and Op getting together after their shift on WAAF. To order a pizza, drink beers and listen to Stern because he was broadcasted at night in Boston on WBCN.
It was a while ago (I only remember playing Minecraft at the time) and they were talking about Howard blocking their signing to Sirius, leading to them signing for XM...or something like that.
Opie would have been mentioning how Howard says they copied him, and he would have something like "Of course we were inspired..."

Yes. Its clear Ant is distancing himself from Opie's Howard hatred. Even when O&A went on rants about Stern Ant would be brutal but he'd always pullback. It was clear that Opie had the biggest bone of contention with Stern.
When Ant did Jay Mohr's podcast he even said that he had no problem with Howard the war with him was out of necessity because he had a tendency to steamroll other radio shows if you didn't fight back hard. He also said it was Opie that had a real issue with Stern.
Good to see Ant getting some good coverage. But how successful is Ant's show actually doing? I imagine his numbers are decent probably well over 20k, but has he given any numbers (which I know could be made up but its still good to see what a person is claiming).
