What opinions do you have that would get you downvoted by the hivemind of this sub at the moment?

4  2015-02-25 by [deleted]

I've been on this sub for a couple of months and the amount of times I've seen everyone completely turn on someone or bash something that is generally likes is bizarre. Then if you stay on the sub long enough, someone will make a comment saying they actually like that person/thing and they will get upvoted. Opinion changes on the sub in an instant.

There is a thread on the front page right now in which Anthony is getting completely torn apart for his twitter rant on net neutrality. For a while now if you really bashed Anthony (evrn for his politics) you would be downvoted to shit. But the Ant bashing thread has over 200 comments right now.

So at the moment, what opinion do you have that's completely different to the status quo of the sub and would make everyone turn on you?

Lady Di is radio gold.

Oh hell yeah. As is Bobo.

I love Anthony but if he had just shut up after the 3rd tweet he would probably still have his job

jim norton isnt brutally honest

A year ago you might've gotten some downvotes. This illusion has been fading for awhile now and post Ant it's gone.

I don't think Louis Ck was ever that funny on the show, Patrice was a far, far, far superior guest.

I don't hate Opie. I don't like him, but I don't hate him.

I like Lady Di and Bobo segments usually.

I dunno...I'm not sure how this sub feels about most things so I don't know what else could be considered contrary. I think Chip is incredibly overrated.

I haven't heard what he's done recently, maybe it's terrible, but Joe Derosa's comedy albums were excellent.

Sam brings more good than bad to the show.

I hate Bill Burr and think he's overrated. Patrice was great but became criminally overrated after his death. Dan Soder seems like a good guy but he is kinda corny.

Never minded sam.

Roland doesnt bother me.

Never was into Burr

Never could stand Opie and think he should always have been relegated to off air producer role, but he did the right thing for re signing for himself personally. He will find a way to succeed, but doesnt want anything to do with the old listener base, he wants to build up a new, more vanilla base. Which is fine.

I actually liked DeRosa as a guest. He's not funny, but he's like that sensitive buddy in your group that served as the punching bag.

I got 22 down votes for saying "while I think think it was fucked what he did I don't hate joe derosa as a human being or want him to kill himself"

How could you say such a thing? That's terrible.

Bill Burr is a massive cunt

Never thought Patrice was funny.

I thought he was funny but not as funny as everyone says. I would put at least five comedians ahead of him as my favorite fourth mic.

Youtube comments on channels that post current O&J shows are basically a carbon copy of reddit threads.

I think that Anthony sucks just as bad without Opie, as Opie sucks without Anthony.

I want Opie, Anthony and Jimmy to be back together as one big happy family and we can forget all the unpleasantness.

tss...what are there a buncha bees flyin around the brain or sumptin

Patrice Oneal was funny, but wasn't the black messiah people raise him up to be. If anything he's a convenient mouthpiece for the sexual frustration/vague anger towards women felt by the audience. A big black guy saying their thoughts is how they wish they could be. He wasnt that smart either.

I like Sam and have no clue why anyone likes Erock.

he reminds them of themselves.

-I love Opie -I want O, A, and J back together -I don't particularly like Joe Derosa, but I don't hate him either -Anthony is hilarious, but can be a creep -Louis CK is brilliant, but can come across as pompous -While Ant and Jim are both very funny, an Ant and Jim show would be excruciating. They spend too much time babbling and cracking up at things that weren't that funny.

I don't want to listen to Opie, but I also don't want him to be dead. Perhaps getting the Stephen Hawking ALS and him losing his ability to speak would be best. And if he uses a computer to talk, unplug that shit, ho!

I like Joe DeRosa and he has earned my goodwill through Uninformed and making me instantly laugh at the mere sight or mention of the word "livelihood".

I've never been able to get into Louis CK other than his work on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien".

I'm not really into Opie, Anthony, or the show. I got into a lot of the comedians through Tough Crowd and Chappelle's Show. I really just like the comedians that happen to be friends of the show and find this sub interesting, in a Michelle Pfeiffer in "Dangerous Minds" sort of way.

I like Nia and she cracks me up on the MMP.

There a few of you here that I worry for you and the people around you in your actual, real lives.

I think Opie's performance leaves something to be desired.

Opie can be funny sometimes.

I like Opie.

Neil deGrasse Tyson is an affirmative action charlatan who simply parrots trite cliches about the universe. If he were white you would have never heard of him.

I think Neal is as famous as he is because he has personality. I'm a fan

not to mention he's plagiarized multiple times and been caught

I agree with most of Ant's politics. Seriously.

3 guaranteed downvotes:

-I never liked Anthony and felt he would lie or exaggerate events or be so uneducated on basic things but with the air of an expert (Obama president naahhhh incident; claiming fuel efficient cars would raise fuel prices against the supply/demand dynamic).

-My favorite shows were O and J before the firing and my ideal show would be O and S. The current show could be better but I think it is good. I'm the biggest Sam fan in Japan.

-I think bitching about the show or trying to fuck up peoples' livelihood is of no purpose. It's public mob masturbation at best. Waaaaahhhhhh! Me too! Waaaaahhhh! Don't we feel better? If you don't like something, just let it go. Don't listen and don't stay involved. Don't waste your life, unless your own life is valueless.

The show doesn't owe you shit. It's just entertainment. If you watch a fucking soap opera that kills off a character you like, do you rail against the network, remaining actors, and staff for months or years because you're upset? It's pretty much this show and wrestling fans. I mean, fuck it. Just stop caring about it, or caring about the people who care about it. Go jerk off and move on with your day and feel happy about something.

...unless your own life is valueless

my life is valueless, and the cathartic hatred here is the only thing keeping me going.

Excuse me sir, but thank you for asking

  1. Anthony is responsible for ruining the show

  2. Anthony is responsible for ruining his career

  3. Opie had nothing to do with Anthony getting fired

  4. Opie fought for Anthony but SXM wanted to get rid of him

  5. Anthony doesnt mind and would do the same as Opie when opie re-signed

  6. Anthony is responsible for not being invited to the Patrice benefit

  7. Anthony could be back on SXM but he is too "scared" to be diplomatic

  8. This sub never posted about Opie and would downvote people who said he sucked until it became "cool" to hate Opie

  9. Benjamin72 has had many successful missions

  10. Benjamin72 has won most, if not all of the arguments he has been in

P.S. Let me guess, this will get downvoted (although i count them as upvotes lol)

Uh oh, looks like i upset you sir. How can i make it all better?

Are you WrestlingJesus? You and him will both say anything, just to get a reaction.

You have alot of inside knowledge when it comes to opie.
