Kevin Hart is no doubt funny but when he started calling himself a "brand" last year I knew it was over. He'll keep doing the same act in a new movie every 3 months until it burns out. I don't blame him for cashing in but I just groan seeing him in previews nowadays. My only question is: when does he put on the fat lady suit? My guess is less than 2 years.
He's famous, but with his fame he lost his funny. If he doesn't start digging down and trying his best his act is going to deteriorate even more, and he'll be washed up.
Kevin Hart was in line to be my favorite comic, but after his most recent special I could tell he didn't try. He's unfunny in my eyes as an act.
Meh - he sold his soul in some ways but I don't fault comics when they do it. Thats a tough way to make a living and even if he loses his funny and fades into the washed up category - at least he made a shitload of money.

The guys career is at that Dane Cook level of uber fame. I still love the story he told of Patrice jerking off.

I think credibility, in this sense having credible humor, is much more important. He should have done what Eddie Murphy did, quit while he was ahead.
