Opie has always been the bridge between Anthony and management, he could have prevented the firing but he chose to remain passive instead.

His refusal to elaborate on how he "fought for Anthony" just made this even more obvious. Opie is corporate and his whole "management pisses me off" thing is a facade to distance himself from the truth that he practically IS management at this point. Go listen to the on-air fight between him and Anthony and it's obvious that it's been this way for a long time. He froze Anthony OUT. Whether that was inadvertent or not is anyone's guess.

Opie is management's bitch boy. That's why he went behind ant and Jims back to tim to get the shows moved to afternoons. Fucking scumbag. He was a disloyal piece of shit long before ant's firing.

King called out Opie's conniving and cowardly behavior when he said Ope's the kind of guy to send Norton to try it first to see if it's safe.

That is something that must not be forgotten. His move to bring Sabean in to motherfuck Ant and Jim with the hours behind their backs was despicable.

How do you know?

Reading between the lines. Ant should really comment on it. I'm sure it's true. And it had to infuriate ant

I think they should have done afternoons. I agree with Opie on that.

Immediately jumping in sabiens dick and getting him to move the show to afternoons behind ant and Jims back is nothing to agree with.

Behind the back with Tim sabiens fresh on the job is the scumbag move.

I don't know if Opie did that, but Anthony's podcast is on in afternoons and on WNEW they were big on afternoons.

Jimmy said as much in the clip of the Opie and Jimmy on air blow up.

This has been obvious for quite awhile. Just look at the fight between Tits and Jim. Opie is just saying "You gotta calm down. You really do." And Jim says "Look brother, you're the boss. We all know your the boss." Inferring that Opie was saying keep going and you're going to be fired. Opie says "That's not what I'm saying." and Jim says "Of course that's what you're saying." Opie must have been giving him that "I'm the boss, you wanna fuck w/ me?" look that a lot of us have seen in life. And there are several past instances that we know of where Opie is making faces at people conveying a message that he doesn't want the listeners to know of.

"SICK OF ALL THE PHONY RADIO GUYS!!"

Phoniest cocksucker in the world.

Yeah, I don't dislike Opie but these are thoughts i've had for a while. I think the guy has the capacity to get us to like him. But his handling of the whole situation has been a bit selfish, Larry King really exposed him in that interview. I don't dislike Opie, I think he's generally a nice guy believe it or not.. but he has some flaws which have had big effects on the show.
