Opie, let me say this out loud, cause I wanna get it straight in my head....

You, publicly and vehemently, bitched about management on a daily basis, for years. You hated them so much, you would literally say, "I know the listeners hate to hear me bitch, but too bad. I'm gonna do it anyway." Your partner of 20 years, and let's not kid ourselves, the guy that made YOU what you are today, gets unjustly fired, and all of a sudden, you're keeping your fucking mouth shut. You could've stepped up, been a man, and fought, openly and publicly with this "hated" management, to get your partner back. But, you didn't. Not only that, you're just gonna decide, OUT OF THE FUCKING BLUE, TO LOVE MANAGEMENT AND NEVER UTTER ANOTHER BAD WORD...??? Why don't you tell us what REALLY happened??

Same day Opie thought about quitting the radio show
6 YouAintGotToLieCraig 2015-02-17
Guys, this is an incorrect statement and I don't think we should be spreading lies about someone like that. He murdered her first, then raped the body afterwards.
-7 OnAalldayyay 2015-02-17
That made me laugh out loud.Great stuff

What really happened? The two no longer got along and Opie saw Ant's firing as a chance to rid him from his life and do a successful radio show without him. We all have seen how that panned out (doing radio since you were 18 doesn't necessarily mean you are any good at it) for him but he's not going to ever admit it was a mistake not to fight harder for his former co-worker.

Hes a good board op and talent wrangler if that counts.
1 BeerCanThick 2015-02-17
Is he though? He doesn't even sound like a good board op and that's like a 10 dollar an hour shitty gig. That is like saying the CEO doesn't really know what he's doing, but he's alright with a broom and a mop.
Shitty CEO, but he's a decent enough janitor. Wow.

Troy Quan spewed homophobic hate and physically threatened a staff member. If Flapjack Tits fought half as hard to keep keep Anthony as he did to keep Troy...who by the way is now back on the air...maybe the Knuckleheads would have some respect for him.
11 ucfgavin 2015-02-17
Could have always been a jealousy thing too...I'm sure he knew everyone loved Ant and Jimmy and disliked Opie more than them. This could have been his moment to shine. Regardless, its over now and he knows how everyone feels. This post won't change anything.

I just mean because he'll actually probably read it. Most people can read somewhere that is giving criticisms, determine whether or not they're actual criticisms (most are), and actually learn from them. Opester, however, will not

In all seriousness, do you think Ol' Pud Suckler and Sam kiss on the lips the same way he does with his Bruthaman mentor?

we all know op is the man behind the curtain in regards to ants firing....but that luscious tittied m'fer still has the nerve to demand that ant take him out to wine and dine him before they can talk....
1 BeerCanThick 2015-02-17
He wants a big apology from Ant and a 100 dollar meal to have a 15 minute phone call on TACS. That's some shit Jimmy did in the first week for nothing before he even knew if he was going to still have a SXM job and it could have jeopardized his contract negotiations.
1 IanHalperin 2015-02-17
But it turned out that Opie and Jimmy signed fairly soon after Anthony was fired.
6 havingmadfun 2015-02-17
What makes it so bad is that he is a huge hypocrite that should basically have lost all credibility. You and your host say how it is a bitch move to apologize for saying something you honestly believe. Then to say you would never apologize if put in that situation but when it happens to your host, who doesn't apologize, you turn your back on him.

Have we told him this repetitively? Or has he selectively ignored it and just went on the "hater-fighter" brigade.

After today, I think if he just ,manned up and said "look, I am just tired of Ant, and this was an opportunity to take a break. Like it or not I needed it". We could all just move on, and accept it. But instead he insists pretending that is not the case. JUST SAY IT ALREADY!
5 Viking_Lordbeast 2015-02-17
No. You don't just get the person you've worked with for over 20 years and who made you a millionaire fired. I don't think anyone of us would simply be able to get over that. Maybe as compared to what's actually happening it doesn't seem so bad, but either way what he did regardless of admitting it or not was a scumbag move to the highest degree.
2 MrRonBangtin 2015-02-17
Yeah, I listened all 20 years, and Opie has always been a scumbag, nothing new. The man stomped on a homeless mans cake, smashed a pinball machine with a hammer, pissed on someone's book during and interview and cringely humiliated many a b list star. His only gag has always been being a scumbag. Now we get the show we wanted, and soon enough Jimmy will be a fixture. That's the real loss in it all. Less Opie in my Cumia comedy is a good thing.

2 Viking_Lordbeast 2015-02-17
Is that a 3D render of the Reservoir Dogs Warehouse? Is that from a game or something? I'm curious because I don't think that movie would make for a very good game at all. Except for maybe the cop torturing mini-game.

Huh, so there is one. I guess since it was banned in Australia that I never heard of it. I might have to illegally check this out.

-5 Rondog01 2015-02-17
If Ant wanted to stay, why didn't he call Opie or Jimmy and say something like hey I don't want to go anywhere else, I want back on the show. But Anthony said as soon as the shit went down, that he was not going to apologize and he did not want to go back if that's what he had to do. Being Sirius, I'm pretty sure that was something he would've had to do.
Why don't you give shit to Anthony for first breaking up the team and then doing nothing to express that he wanted to be back?
Opie has never said a kind word about management, he has only told us what they have said, but I've never heard him sing the praises of the management, if you can provide any link I would appreciate it.
9 OnAalldayyay 2015-02-17
He was fired. He's not gonna beg them.Opie has definitely said management loves the direction of the new show.Actually thinking about it who was he trying to impress
6 [deleted] 2015-02-17

-1 Rondog01 2015-02-17
I wouldn't expect Anthony to beg but tell the guys that he would love to stay on the show. And Opie saying that management loves the show is not praising them. I think in that instance he was commenting on a caller.
Am I the only one who thinks this break will force the guys to evaluate what they mean to each other and in the long run, it will be good for them?
2 NhaterJR 2015-02-17
he also said sxm isnt a bad company to work for
1 BeerCanThick 2015-02-17
He even said that in today's Larry King segment. They haven't given him one thing he's said he wanted since the merger and fired his 20 year partner during holiday weekend via email. Objectively speaking, SXM is a dogshit company to work for unless you're Howard Stern or were mainstream famous before getting a contract.

when opie says that management loves the direction of the new show, its a compliment. its as if their opinion is somehow valid and important now, whereas before they were complete fucking idiots who knew nothing about radio. now suddenly they're experts.
5 st1y_wan_kenobi 2015-02-17
hey dummy...
there's a huge difference between saying he wants to be back on the show he created for 20 years and apologizing for some PC non-issue nonsense that nobody should have given a fuck about.
0 Rondog01 2015-02-17
I really don't care if he apologized or not. I'm only saying what anthony said he wasn't going to do.
1 st1y_wan_kenobi 2015-02-17
yeah he said he wasn't going to apologies... which he shouldn't have to. completely different from continuing to work... or it least it should have been.
3 Tell_Em_Fred 2015-02-17
I agree. Hard to tell if Opie was not going to re-sign. He said today he was ready for something else but I think they all would've preferred to stay on in the long run. I think Sirrius should've just suspended Ant if they wanted to "make a point". They both have given their side of the story. Ant was respectful and in fairness to Opie he did say the biggest down was their loss of friendship.

1 Tell_Em_Fred 2015-02-17
Now you see, I don't think that way. They were great together. The proof is in the puntang. There is more behind the scenes issues for a radio show than what everybody hears.
3 Alansmithee22 2015-02-17
What else could Opie do?
The man is 51 year old dunderhead with zero professional skills.
