I just think Opie is a stupid douche which makes it easy to throw a list of negative qualities up and just tick off all the boxes. I've thought autism, asperger's, sociopathy, borderline personality disorder, all of that shit. But he's just a stupid asshole.

Once you realize he's got a 95 IQ coupled with no upside and a bunch of negatives, he makes sense.

He almost definitely has borderline. definitely not a sociopath. Sociopaths are almost always clever, charming and you'll never really grasp what they're thinking or what little they're feeling. Opie is hypersensitive and transparent emotionally... despite his embarrassing attempts to hide it. He let's his emotions out like a fat housewife.

Opie is obviously insecure though. That's why he always wears that front and pretends to be everything he isn't. An actual psychopath would be genuinely confident in their own abilities and not feel like they have to fake it.
