Sam ought to be sued by real professional broadcasters like Denny for lying to the public. Of course, you just need to hear Sam's voice and you know he is going nowhere.
Denny is an awesome guy. He is genuinely nice, and unlike Opie he wants to put on the best show he can, and prepares, he has knowledge of the music (if Denny did talk he would read the articles, involve himself in the production, be more hands on), unlike autopilot-Opie who reads headlines and hopes someone in studio read the article.
I am willing to bet Denny, with his (lovable) milquetoast corny-ness could put on a better show with Jim as a cohost, than Opie can.
His spots were hilarious and is an expert at putting in those music "sweepers" (?) in, at least better than Adrian, but Adrian is still green so that can be forgiven.
I always thought Falcone was a great find for the show. He came out of nowhere and had these cool stories about old radio - it was just interesting. Add in the fact that he's funny and it made for entertaining segments.
Enter the Destroyer.
"Wow, Denny you've really been around. It must kill you to have never been successful."
"What does it feel like knowing you never made it in the business?"
"Does it hurt knowing your time has passed you by and you will never break through?"
He does these things just to be a legitimate asshole. Anthony, on the other hand, treated Falcone with respect, gave him several paid gigs/referrals and invited him to his parties.
Then Opie wants to know why he gets hate. Because it's deserved, jiggles.
Right. While Ant and Jimmy could rip into of one of the show's tertiary characters and have it be funny; whenever Opie has done it in the last 5-6 years, it just comes off as crude and mean spirited. Not a fun listen at all.
The way they handled Lady Di in the last year of the show was a prime example. Ant and Jimmy were "mean" but funny and you could tell they were having fun. Opie sounded like he was trying to get her to jump off a bridge.
Phat tits must've been a tool in his youth. He wants so badly to be one of the cool kids, demeaning people he thinks are lame yet loving the likes of Troy Q

Ant is the only one that seemed to like him, even inviting him to the compound a couple times

You mean tries to read headlines. His live read cadence is like a grade schooler doing a book report in front of class.
Add that to the list of reasons why is guy sucks at his job.
Rather the show be Jim and Sam. I've only been listening since 2012 and I can't remember a time he made me laugh or said something insightful.

The best part is you can tell Denny doesn't give a shit what Opie thinks of him.

I agree I like Dennis a lot

He's one of my favorite characters in the history of the entire show. Every time he was on I turned up my radio, and got my laffing hat on.

a true classic and yeah he's playing a character but he's also actually a complete radio nerd so it works so well.
and ants impression of him is one of his best, that nasaly weak voice.

Well Opie is the one who first brought Dennis to the show and continues to bring him in so I'm gonna say, no it doesn't kill him.
