Tom Papa is much worse. At least No Shoulders was a punching bag which provided entertainment. Papa was always so boring.

Tom Papa appeals to families that would go out to see some comedy. He's very safe the same way Seinfeld is. Joe, on the other hand, is a comic that tried to appeal to the O&A crowd and he failed miserably. Say what you will about Papa, but he knows his audience and he's been very successful. DeRosa couldn't cut it in New York and the fans thought he sucked, so he moved to LA and now he tries to impress the "alt-comic" crowd, which he fails at a little less than he did in New York.

Families like to laugh though. Tom Papa is like an HR woman telling jokes.

I remember May 2012 it was just Opie in studio for a week because Ant had Pertussis and Tom Papa was in for a couple of days. Jon Travolta's massage therapist thing was blowing up and Papa couldn't stop saying "HAMBURGERS" in an awful Travolta impression.

This is one of the shows.

I think they both suck, but papa prob isn't as much of a whiner off stage

I went to the village underground for a show it was billed with Robert jelly dan soder and Jimmy. turns out it was papas podcast. it was so fucking boring and unfunny. ugh

Ha ha, I just said the same thing in another thread before I'd read this. Tom Papa was my most hated regular comic in the history of the show. He's worse than Pablo Francisco.

Tom Papa is not a great regular but he's had better lines than Derosa on the show. Listening to old clips Papa isn't great but he'll make you laugh here and there. Derosa just whines incessantly and his dumb laugh. Fuck that fat r earthworm fuck.

I loved Uninformed. Granted, DeRosa was basically a chubby pommel horse for Burr's cutting verbal gymnastics, but I have to admit that I'm sad that I can no longer respect him in any way.

Same. Derosa could be funny time to time on the podcast but Bill shitting on him is what I tuned in for.

One of my favorite Patrice episodes out of all 150 is the second Ant, Joe & Patrice show. It was the perfect combo, Patrice and Ant cutting into Joe mercilessly without any interrupting third parties.

Every group needs a good punching bag. Joe was really good at saying stupid and needy things.

There literally like 3 people defending him on Twitter and that's it. There's so many good comedians out there why would anyone choose to be a Derosa fan?
