Me: "My son yells 'Wipe my ass!" Sam: "Ass?" Me: "Yes" Sam: "Ass?!" Me: "Yes!... Maybe it was butt."

I heard this near the beginning of the 2/10 show. It's the perfect, bite-sized interaction of a lie so ridiculous that Sam cannot help but press father Hughes until he eventually relents (albeit under his breath.)

This was infuriating. If this was todd n jade show it wood be mocked endlessly

That's the best part of the Todd show banter lately. He's mocking a show that he's doing then, so meta Opie

My guess is that he pumped it up and realized that Lynsi would draw the line at lying about his kids so he panicked because he cannot control the lying anymore...

I think that Sam made him realize in that short span of time how ignorant it sounded to have his toddler yelling that he needs his ass wiped so explicitly. And that the listeners were lighting their torches

"those guys" were lighting their torches

I wanted to bring this up too. It's such a trivial, meaningless lie, so it's almost obsession to even bring it up? On the same token, why even make that up? Really shows the pathological liar's true colors.

It makes it seem that even the most meaningless stories are being punched up by the Oqster.

But save it for a story that can't so easily be dismantled. No one in that room believed that his 4 y/o was yelling ass from the next room.
