Opie fucked ant over? In what galaxy? If Ant didn't take to Twitter the way he did, the show would still be together. I dont think he should have been fired but what he did was reactionary and inconsiderate to the people who's jobs depend on him. I think you're going out pretty far in a limb saying he probably agreed with Sirius. That first show he seemed genuinely broken up and emotional about it.

Opie is at fault for signing a 2 year contract. By doing that he's effectively prevented Ant from coming back for 2 years. If they wanted a 1 year contract It would seem possible ant may have been able to return to air later this year. Everything has blown over.That is how opie fucked over Ant.

Ant gave them an excuse to fire him. You cannot absolve him from responsibility for what happened. With all the "fired so fired" knowledge, it was a lapse in judgement that night which led to his eventual firing. SiriusXM is spineless and doesn't want any real controversy. Ant also knows that.

Perhaps if he had TALKED to Opie after the incident and said "OK let's blow it up and I'll get started on putting O&A podcast together, I'll get a studio in NYC" instead of going immediately to his own show. Why would Opie threaten to quit when Ant was moving on immediately. This is where COMMUNICATION needed to come in. And nobody say it's on Opie, it's not. This was Ants fault, the onus was on him.

I don't think Opie held him back at all, they brought out the best in each other. The best shows were O&A&J and after than just O&A. Nopie shows were okay but not as good as all 3 or just O&A, despite the revisionist history.

Absolutely. Both shows are decent but not as good as classic O&A. Anth let his emotions get the best of him when he was assaulted. It was up to him to reach out. Sirrius cowered. That was pretty lame but it was Anth's actions that caused the show to blow up.
