"I am Comedy," not being funny, has always been his act. He's terrible and he's been the exact same style of terrible for twenty-five years.

Twenty-five? Really? Yeah. He's been around forever and knows everybody. And he talks. The comedy business is about the size of a high school, and it works a lot like one.

Look how comics all point to Louis now and say "That's who we all should be." They didn't do that when Louis was the best. They do it now because...they all do it now. There are fifty pictures of Louis in the yearbook, and his name's spelled right in the captions.

Kindler keeps the slam book. In the principal's office. He hangs out there at lunch, with the deans and the school cops, going over the book. He's thinking longer-term.

Being a censorious moralizer against comedy except for Louis is the thing now, not only in the press but inside the business. Kindler's on the next thing. Louis won't be around as long as Kindler will. Post-Louis world is "Kindler was right all along" world.

His fanbase are other comedians like DeRosa, who can't make it, and are convinced it is because the comedy world sucks. As opposed to them not being funny enough.

Its always interesting to me that his whole thing is being an asshole in comedy but then is a crusader against assholes in comedy.

Like if you ever heard his bit where he shits on the industry, that bit is all about being an asshole. But when he talks about Bill Maher, Ricky Gervais or Adam Carolla he spits such venom at them that there isn't an attempt to be funny. Because I think he thinks he's a guy who stands up against the bully. But he is the bully. I've heard him get in the mode whenever he's a podcast guest too.

Awhile back, after he trashed some comedian, I listened to a clip of his because I had never heard his "comedy" After about 3 minutes I was so embarrassed I had to shut it off.
