Allow me to elaborate:

A: He always made a big deal about management, but when it came time for Opie and Jim to put their cards down they re-sign and management likes the direction of the show. In fact, yesterday while listening to an archive of one of the shows where Jim Jefferies was on (where Ant & Jim J. were bashing Ian Halperin and his "trollops") Opie derailed a conversation and was screaming and lactating breast milk about how he was on the verge of doing a podcast any second. Conversation starts 25 minutes in, the tits start shaking and threatening at 29 minutes in. For years that mammoth titted asshole screamed for up to an hour a show about "the next step" which was a colossal lie.

B: Exhibit B for 'The People vs. Tits', Opie is a liar. For an example, Opie supposedly had his school lunches bagged in cement bags because they were too poor to buy regular brown paper bags. So, they were too poor to buy brown paper bags but supposedly were pouring so much cement as a family that for up to five kids at a time they could bag lunches in cement bags. And if they could afford to pour enough cement to have cement bags for lunches every day for multiple kids they could buy lunch bags. In an attempt to provide content for the show he just lies and lies. Never mind the recent debacle of him imagining he got a chicken pox vaccine decades before they were actually available.

C: Not only is the content of his character shit, but also the way he talks. Opie sees himself as 'untouchable'. He threw poker chips once and smashed a guitar and he's been propping himself up with those events for years now. Opie is like a barely made man for the mafia who whacked a guy in the early 80s and has been coasting off of that reputation for decades.

D: To continue with Exhibit C, Opie is a potential Victoria's Secret model who talks down to everybody. Every time a comedian can get a chuckle out of the room he feels like he has to give them a plug as if he's tossing a good dog a treat. He likes to imagine he's a Godfather who will 'take care of his boys' when they do good by him. It's ponderous.

Okay, I'll elaborate with a long and boring post. The show has become every radio show they use to make fun of during jocktober. Just stale boring forgettable radio. And at least those terrestrial radio shows have an excuse in that they are limited in what they can do. Everyday, Opie is presented with expensive paint and a canvas, and then just dumps shit around like a retarded chimp. He creates nothing of interest, but his own mocking and hate. Basically, the show is worse and less entertaining than any other horrible free morning zoo type show. Yet Opie thinks they are above them and doing great. Jimmy is not helping, but he has a cement anchor tied around his neck.

Opie has been exposed as a hack who has no business being on the radio without a studio of talented people covering for him. His idea of good radio is dad talk, lying, hacky bits that would make Todd Pettengill cringe, lying, flu talk, sports talk for retards, lying, and other inane drivel about oldie music and pop culture.

Really, the only thing left for the fandom is to bash Opie. The show is dead, so the only thing that is keeping anyone around, is mocking Opie. Once that ends, this place will be a ghost town. Thankfully, Opie gives us new material every show.

All hate for Opie aside, I think the show was pretty shitty before Anthony got fired, they stopped trying to make the show good and it got boring. This show is missing the talent now and it's left with two guys who have no comedic chemistry together. The show doesn't suck but it's hardly setting the world on fire either, but I felt this way for most of last year.

Opie was never a "content creator". There's a lot of vitriol for the guy, and emotional reactions, because of how hypocritical he comes off, but in the end, he was never the funny guy. The response that certain people would give to that is "He was never meant to be funny" Which is fair, but he has always acted like he is the #1 talent of the show. "He steers the ship" is another one that gets thrown around, but if you go back and listen, you will hear countless possibly funny bits that are brought to a halt for inane babble. "Hey who's this?"

"Hi! It's me! Lady Di! How are ya!"

Again, all the funny lines, and all the enjoyment that I had personally from the O&A show (I can only speak for myself of course) came from Ant, Jim, or the comic. The man who had top billing and who whored himself out more than anyone, on social media etc, produced the least.

And he thought he was untouchable. Take a shot at Ant, "You're a racist" and he'll go "Haha! Seig Heil!". Take a shot at Jim, "You like trannies and tinkle!" "I certainly do!" and then bash himself for not being able to improv something.

How many people have shit on Ant for his looks? Or his hair? Or Jim for looking like a mollusk?

Now how many have criticized Mr. Hughes for his chest, his teeth, his interrupting? Jim even parodied this by overly complimenting Opie.

tl;dr, it's a combination of a lot of things, but most of all, the new show does not have the humor the old show had, it does not strive to do so in the future, and Opie does not act within his own standards of humor, truthfulness, honesty, or dealing with management. Standards he screamed about for years and years. Paper Tiger Hughes.

I've given this new show a few listens and it didn't hold anything for me, if you find something that makes you laugh on "OpieRadio", then that's according to your own tastes.

I haven't listened since shortly after they returned when Anthony was fired but the couple of shows and clips I've heard have just been dreadful. Opie is just not funny and without Ant to banter with Jim Norton has very, very little to work with. Opie was always the radio pro who kept the show moving and set up Ant and Jim but without Anthony there's just nothing going on.

It's not Opie's fault and I sorta feel bad for the guy.

I only briefly listened to the old show for a couple of weeks before ant got the axe so I really can't say I noticed anything. I still find this new show entertaining enough to listen to. But for real I thinks it's hilarious and all but what is with the tits thing about opie?

Oh, see, you may not have gotten used to what we were. Anthony and Jimmy were amazing for years on SXM, and after he left, it made Opie's inadequacies more obvious. Fans on here always noticed he'd lie about stories, wasn't funny, and kind of ruined the flow. The tits was never that liked, but he was masked by Jimmy and Anthony's great chemistry.

Anthony makes the show work. Despite the fact that Jim is the comedian, Anthony is the catalyst for humor between the three of them. No jim: still funny. No Opie: still funny.

Ive listened to every show since July 2005, but somehow missed the Opie big tits thing. Where did that come from? Also, Opie does suck. He was able to hide before, but talks too much now, and shows how stupid and untalented he is. Ok that makes sense I feel like people are tough critics. it's an amusing talk show with good guest sometimes that I like to listen to while I drive to work.
