Considering that the entire subreddit just fell for a massive lie based on one person saying something happened on today's show, I'd say your impression is pretty correct.

It's hard to let go after 5 years of listening every day. And I've probably heard at least 8 or 9 years of radio with the archived stuff on Youtube. The show really helped me get through probably the roughest few years of my life, and that it is going out so unceremoniously makes me sad.

And it's fucking hilarious to come here. If this sub ever loses its popularity, all this shit will just be forgotten. Do you think in 15 years that if I make a reference to Uncle Paul that anybody around me would get it? This is a living thing and it will die if we don't keep it alive in some way. The show itself sucks balls now so this is the best we can do. And society is changing. In some ways, Legion of Skanks and a few others aside, this is the last bastion of a certain kind of comedy that is dying from hypocritical, thoughtless PC sanitizing.

That's the best way I've heard it put. I never thought of it like that. The show is dead and Opie and Jimmy, oops I mean, OpieRadio, is bleeding like a stuck pig and this is one of the few places where there's people who remember the good times.

I listened to O&J almost daily for the first few weeks...maybe months. Gradually got bored and annoyed, so started listening less and less. Maybe have caught parts of one or two shows since the new year. My latest "free 30 day trial" just ended and I don't feel like even renewing anymore.

I only listen to clips posted here and take with a grain of salt anyone that makes a thread saying something happened without posting the clip they're referencing.

Haven't listened since the week after Anthony was fired. I still come here for the laughs regardless if they are intentional or not. You people are some of the most spastic, obsessive, angry, hilarious retards around and I love it.

I'm trying to think about what it would take to get me to listen again...maybe I'd tune in if Opie honestly addressed some of the hate, what the show has become, the Anthony situation, etc.

Beyond that, maybe if they have a bunch of the comedians like Burr, Quinn, Vos, etc. all in at the same time around the Patrice benefit it might be good radio. Even the last time Louis CK was on the show it was a disappointment (even with Ant there) as the dynamic between them and CK totally changed due to Louie's success - more how O&A handled things vs. Louie.

I listened yesterday, but I only caught like 5min today. That's usually how it goes recently. I wouldn't miss a minute before Anthony got fired but now I listen to TACS religiously.

I rarely listen to the show. I canceled my car, but other company cars/repair cars have SXM. The "show" is almost fun to listen to simply for how terrible it is. The comments and posts here are hilarious. Preying Mantits to the right should show that.

I listen everyday like I do Ants show.I find it interesting when they justify their decision,their different relationship with the staff,Opie back peddling.

The dynamic with them and their audience now is worth listening in itself.The O n A audience that is.Not dumb snowy from Michigan.

I just stopped recently, I have a link for every show 3 hours after live and I still cant do it. The last show I listened to was Patton's appearance. Its sad, the show will die a uncerimonious death soon. I don't blame Jim for staying on with Opie and resigning, even though the show sucks dick now. I will still listen to old clips online and laugh, but without Ant and Jim's jokes the only time the show is good is if Vos, Patton or Colin is in.

I don't have XM anymore so I only listen on Youtube when I hear they had some comics in and it was a really good show. More often I just listen to older episodes on Youtube if I am in the mood for some O and A.

I also listened to a few E-Rock shows as actually heard some good things about it.

I listen everyday at my desk. Not a lots changed for me...Anthony gone sucks, but it's not drastically awful like it's made out to be. Some people take this shit way too seriously.

Don't listen to either show really. I was off this week, so I decided to do some photoshops and such just because I find a lot of the stuff in this sub funny.

However, because of this sub, I decided to check out one episode of TACS and O&J just to see what I thought.

I didn't find O&J to be as awful as it's made out to be here, but I found TACS to be pretty bad. I just have really come to the conclusion that I don't enjoy what Anthony considers entertainment these days.

While O&J was very pedestrian compared to what it used to be, if I were forced to choose between the two shows, I'd pick O&J. I'd rather listen to two guys having often times generic discussions with a silly attempt at edginess here and there, than listen to the lopsided, right wing blog fueled rantings of Anthony, and his moronic callers, that are honestly just annoying to me.

There really is no win here for old fans of the show. Most likely, I'll never listen to either again.
