Jimmy's characters are fucking brilliant.

To steal a shitty Opie term, so underappreciated. Goddamn are they good. The fact that it's not just an on-the-air bit and he's developing these awesome and horribly annoying personas around other people just makes it all the more fantastic.

I think there's an old proverb that says you haven't lived until you wake up hungover with fucking Cregg Schinkel's voice in your head.

Here's to Jiiimiiii.

They're all on youtube if you give them a search.

Edit: A quick few for the lazy cunts:

I still have a Ted Sheckler listening session a few times a year.

I can always listen to a good Chip-a-thon

Request:

Ted Sheckler and Frank the Frowner.

Edgar

Boardroom Jimmy

Coach Jimmy is one of the biggest laughs I've had listening to the show

A real Schinkel's Conundrum.

Im partial to valley jim

Droning voice

Opie had this amazing bit though where he would ignore Chip, until Jimmy was finished, but he had to stop it now that Ant is gone...

  1. Ted Sheckler
  2. The original quiet Uncle Paul
  3. Boardroom Jimmy

i'm glad someone else makes the distinction between old quiet uncle paul and current uncle paul. i loved how the old uncle paul's voice really bad-touched you. edgar used to be quieter and creepier aswell. i've noticed in a few recent clips he's returned to his roots a bit with paul here and there but i wish he'd do the creepy whispery edgar again.

I completely agree. Even disregarding the recurring ones like Ted and Chip, the one-offs like "The Goose" would make amazing Adult Swim-type shows.

They are very funny. But it's pretty common for comedians to have different characters they do for fun in their personal lives.

You probably wouldn't think they were so amazing if you had heard more.

That said uncle paul is brilliant.

um, no their not. About as funny or believable as his alcoholic stories..
