At least one, seriously. Even though it would probably be horrible and cringe-inducing, he should have given it a shot since they're still "figuring it out" and who knows, at least something different and new could have come out of it. Take calls, talk about random shit, whatever. He could have pulled an Anthony and done an "Ask ME Anything" but he took the safe and boring road.

"Safe and boring" is a great way to put it - the fact that he didn't address Anthony's AMA proves to me he's not really interested in providing the best radio possible and much more worried about trying to make himself look good.

I hope he'll talk about his tortured youth as a member of the middle class. His parents adopted children to give them a home and Opie spins it into his personal Vietnam. So you had some stale bread. Fuckface.

He needs to go back to terrestrial, and give up the slot to the future. Jay Oakerson, Soder...hell, whoever. He really is a guy that should be at a top 40 hit station, and only speaks to intro songs, and do live reads or whatever.
Talk radio isn't about telling us about your family every day, and repeating the same tall tales. He makes it all about himself but shits on Todd for doing the same shit. Besides the boring dads out there that love his shit, no one else relates. On top of that he doesn't do anything interesting, so there's nothing to talk about. "I was home last night checking out the Golden Globes, and my ice cream was missing." Really? He doesn't have any exciting hobbies, or have any kind of adventures over the weekend. It's always "took a drive up to Philly over the weekend", or some lame shit. It's bland, safe radio where he says nothing. I know Jimmy gets shit on for his repetitive tranny stories, and such but he has things to talk about. Scary hooker stories etc. Same with Ant. The stories that they've shared was great radio, and would have the phones lit up with people telling similar things. Opie doesn't wanna hear your story, he wants everyone to listen to his....while he makes it up on the spot. It's terrible.
Imagine Opie in a studio with no one else around. Now imagine yourself being stuck in a room forced to listen to that show for 1 million years. I just had a Black Mirror moment. Excuse me.
