Opie... Nobody is panicking.

I'm not on the level of hatred as most of you are in this sub but everytime Opie describes anyone as 'panicking', I get really irritated. Doesn't matter if it's a guest that is promoting a something and has several other shows to visit (ya know, a schedule to uphold) or a comic (Most of the time Vos) who is riffing in a couple different directions, nobody is 'panicking'.
A couple of weeks ago I heard him say someone out of the studio was panicking in three straight sentences and it just...gosh it just rubbed me in the most negative way.
TL;DR Things aren't as frantic as they are described by Opie

Well golly-gee, I remember my first beer too. Welcome to the Jelly Tits-hating club.

When a guest is on the show, it's because they're promoting something. It's purely business for them. But to Opie, it's very personal, like a first date. It's the reason he gets so hurt when guests like Jonah Hill don't come back. But I don't get it, we had a good time together last time he was on. He doesn't get that these guys are doing press tours mandated by whatever company is paying them.
That's why he can't wrap up an interview naturally. He thinks the guest will be offended if he doesn't insist that an outside entity is forcing them to end their conversation, as if the celebrity isn't dying to just get out of there and get on to their next appearance.

It's so frustrating that so many of opies annoying crutches are things he stole from jimmy that used to be funny.
