Anthony just has horrible ideas running his show. There should be a list:

-taking down YouTube videos that promote more than anything

-subscription based with advertising (aka raping his fans)

-airing 4pm-6pm which is the absolute worst time. Most people leave work at 5. So if you watch at work you'd have to leave in the middle. If you watch at home you missed it. How disconnected from normal people is Anthony to choose that time?

-relying on the visual. Once again, what kind of normal person has the time to sit down and watch it 2hrs every day?

I don't think the 4pm starting time is ever going to change. It's the ideal time to start work if you're an alcoholic.

true about the time it takes to watch TACS. i am a year subscriber, but almost never watch the show because I don't have 2 hours a day to sit in front of my laptop at home....especially after sitting in front of the pc at work all day.

That's why I quit my first month in. It's not expensive but I was not even watching more than 3 hours a week. It gets old sitting there watching a guy talk when right next to that window is an endless realm of movies and shit. I save radio for the car or working out.

I'm always behind on the shows, I watch them while I'm at work on my second monitor, but if I didn't have the luxury of doing that I would probably hardly catch his show either

The 4 start time is incredibly stupid. Here's what I do: start the live show on my phone at 4, pause it, and unpause at 530/6 (whenever I leave the office) for the ride home.

I always saw 4 Pm as a way to not step on the toes of his buddies Opie/Jim @ 6-11 (or 7-10:30 whatever it is) and Ron and Fez Noon to 3, since he knows most of his fans listen to those as well.

3-5 would be way better than 4-6. If you can somehow listen/watch at work atleast you aren't leaving in the middle. I think 7-9pm or 8-10pm would be great too. Even 6-8 is better. 4-6 is the worst time slot even when judging all other timeslots that don't include O&J/r&f

The idea of an afternoon drive show is for commutes (which his show can't do being visual and online) or to listen to at work (& how many jobs can you sit & watch a show? Especially one with nudity & race stuff?). It's completely useless for Anthony to feel like he has to conform to regular radio weekday schedule. He can do party shows on Friday, Saturday & Sunday and then maybe a more laid back news show on Monday. It would be so much better

ron and fez is the truth, and it's consistently better than O&A. It's a little more slow paced, but once you get the flow, you realize how incredible Ron is at turning anything into radio gold.

DaDiscoDog had THREE TACS uploads at the most, it was mainly Ron&Fez bits. Anthony's little bitch Rat filed 3 DMCA's and got Discos channel blocked. The longest one up was about 10 minutes long, then on Twitter said he wouldn't be taking down any of the notices so now his channel is blocked. Fucking bitch move, it's making Ant look like the biggest cry baby.

This. DaDicscoDog's channel isn't even a channel that uploads full shows, that days show, etc. A channel like his really promotes the live, daily R&F shows. I can't think of a bigger advertisment for a show you can subscribe to and actually feel like your a part of, which I think is exactly what Ant is going for. This isn't FM radio where you can skip through the dial and find something new. It's a paid subscription, and the only people in on it are fans already. The amount of people who have heard Ronnie B take calls from fans on DiscoDogs channel who have never heard of R&F before, something which Ron does every day and makes the fans supply more content to the show than Fez himself.

My point basically is DiscoDog doesn't promote pirating of any shows, it's nothing more than a well produced best of that reaches as many people as a weekly best of, other people's podcasts and other advertisments.

As a promotional tool having clips on youtube to try to tempt a few punters over the paywall is obvious ... but the overworked cpu screencaptures made the show look shitty.

If they do just want to jump on people uploading short clips to promote the show, they need to a) wake-up to how much of the contemporary O&A audience found them via youtube, and b) they need to post a lot more of their own clips instead then, cos no-one is gonna pony-up any money for a podcast they haven't seen a fair chunk of.

Jumping on short promo uploads is the wrong move, unless they're content to settle on riding out a diminishing band of some ex-XM subscribers till the wheels fall off.

I currently pay for SXM. The value is better. Not only do I get O&J, and R&F, I also get a ton of other stations.

I cancelled my sub long before Ant got canned. The stream was shit and I can get some of the shows that I like (Steve Czaban) through podcast. SXM just became obsolete to me.

SiriusXM was a ratings-free fairyland where more listeners only equated to higher salaries in a very general sense, whereas TACS pays Ant directly from its subs and ads.

I'm not saying you shouldn't pirate, but it isn't the same as before.

What I meant by Sirius having "tons of stations" was that using a single app, I can listen to O&J, R&F, whenever I want to. I can listen to C2C at night, or just randomly listen to a variety of music. It isn't perfect but it is a pretty good value for what I pay.
