Penn Jillette once told the story on either his podcast or O&A that when he was on The Apprentice with Clay Aiken, who he hated, during one of the interviews he talked about how Clay was great to work with and while he was talking blinked the morse code for "T-O-R-T-U-R-E."
The producers picked up on it and thought it was great but didn't end up putting it in the show because the audience wouldn't have gotten it without a lot of explanation that wouldn't have fit.
