Are there any Tough Crowd fans who thought that show would have been perfect uncensored? HBO?

O&A in the mid to late 2000's ended up being the audio version of that show. Now, put that show on with Colin as host. Ant and Keith Robinson as co-hosts, with 2 guest comics. Tweak the original format.

I think I heard Colin say that he offered to show to HBO and they turned him down. This was just after the show was cancelled. TBH I think the show in its old format, would be too raw for even HBO- all networks shit themselves with race talk. The only reunion hopes can come from Netflix, Amazon or Youtube. Unfortunate, as that show was awesome.

There are no reunion hopes really, because Giraldo and Patrice were two of the biggest voices on the show.
Stephen Colbert was on there once or twice, not in character, and he was fucking hilarious. Kinda makes me wanna see how he'll be on CBS.

Comedy Central was so strong around the early 2000s. You had South Park at it's Peak, The Daily Show at its peak during the Bush era (which is what MAKES the show. I loved the show then. It's the same way how Ant's views won't be as funny if a Republican is in office). You had Chappelle's Show, which may have been the biggest/most popular show of a generation. There was Insomniac with Dave Attell, so underrated, really the perfect show for Dave which he should have continued doing up until today IMO. Add to that Reno 911, The Man Show, Crank Yankers. Plus reruns of shows like Strangers With Candy, SNL, Win Ben Steins Money. Plus the half hour specials like Premium Blend for newer comics that they seemed to axe for no reason.
Tough Crowd was so good, it's really what got me into standup. It's a shame how Comedy Central let so many great shows slip through their hands and how stale shows like South Park and The Daily Show have been after almost 20 years. IMO South Park was very good this year, but for years leading up it was just shit.

South Park is nowhere as good as it used to be, but I wouldn't say it's complete shit. Every season has a few good episodes and a few stinkers. It's garbage like Workaholics that I can't stand.

The latest season was the best in years

I actually enjoy Workaholics now after blindly hating it for years. Not a great show, but has some memorable episodes.

Man I loved Tough Crowd. Watching Giraldo call out Denis Leary for stealing from Hicks or Patrice and Vos bust on the last comic standing guy was classic. Supposedly it beat The Daily Show in ratings when it was canceled which is crazy. I started going to comedy shows for guys like Quinn, DiPaolo and Norton because of that show and only then found out about O&A.

this guy gets it. Bill Hicks remains my hero.

One of the last great shows Comedy Central ever had. The channel now sucks ass. The only good show they have now is South Park. The executives there are too busy riding Jon Stewarts cock and putting on shows that appeal to frat boys and stoners.

Dave Attel has a good show on there: Comedy Underground

That show was an unwatchable mess. It's too bad because I do love Colin.

I loved it when it was on, but remember thinking Colin was an awful host. Now I realize how brilliant he was.
