Which makes sense. If he had started setting up the O&A podcast with plans for them to join him in October and THEN Opie re signed at sirius then that would be. A legitimate issue. As It stands right now all parties made the appropriate decision given how the events unfolded.

They don't like each other as people. Anthony has said bad things about Opie to the people close to him. Were they getting along before ant got fired, yea they were coexisting. But that's changed. They grew apart, they're not friends. The second Opie says something sideways, Ant will open up on him. If Opie keeps his mouth shut, like he has been, it may never come. Ant for sure has resentment that they resigned without even blinking an eye. Opie immediately started the "Anthony wants to go alone" angle when ant was fired and ant said on TACS that wasn't even close to the truth. Ant said that Opie was always the one talking about not resigning, which is the truth, there's hours of audio of that. Ant wanted the show together but had to do something to earn money. Truth is, Opie saw the firing as an opportunity to go at it alone with Jim, and now he has the real shit show. O&J wanted the security of that 2 yr contract with a steady large paycheck. They don't want the risk and grind it takes to build to a podcast. That's the bottom line. Podcasts can be lucrative for an individual, but good luck trying to get millions for three guys. In the end, O&J will collect a large paycheck while they ride their mediocre show into the ground, selling shitty T-shirts and tickets to Jimmy's next show at the chuckle hut along the way.

Neither Opie nor Ant want to wage radio war on each other. Think of all the dirt they must have on each other from working together for so many years. They know that if they start fighting then all those secrets will be publicly exposed.

I speculate that Ant still has a sliver of hope that there will be a reunion and isn't ready to blow it all to hell just yet.
