The show is branded as OpieRadio on SXM. Interestingly enough, Opie solely owns the site OpieRadio.com and the page has ZERO SXM branding or recognition, which means it isn't affiliated.

However, Opie sells shirts/mugs/merch/etc. directly related to the show on Opieradio.com. Anyone buying from that site is essentially being tricked since the webpage is identical to the show's name, and Opie constantly plugs it on the show.

However, any and ALL proceeds go directly into Opie's pocket, even though his partner (Jimmy) is 50% of the Opie Radio SXM show.

Fucking scumbag.

Here's an analogy. Imagine being a drummer in a band and the lead singer creates a website that is the same name of the group. He then sells merch on there related to band songs and references, and pockets the cash for himself. That's okay in your eyes?

A ton of reasons. Norton is not an equal partner. The channel is Opie radio. Who owns that intellectual property? I have a feeling part of Opie's renegotiations include owning the show. (Pure speculation.) So he's selling merch associated with his channel and his shitty catch phrases. Would you be opposed to jimmy selling chip chipperson or ted's emporium merch? He could easily do this and make a bunch of money. But I think he has too much self respect.

I'm pretty sure that the Opie & Anthony brand was made into a corporation that SiriusXM paid to use as a license. I think they did this to avoid losing their content forever should they get fired again.

I'm assuming Opie did something similar with OpieRaqio so SiriusXM doesn't own the countless hours of bad radio he's producing when he inevitably gets fired.

It's like leasing a car. SiriusXM just leases the show.
