But anyone hating on Opie or Jim for this is just flat out wrong. Tambor was a complete asshole the last time he was on the show. He came in with this high and mighty attitude and was offended at ANY joke being made. Little does he know, Jimmy has been legitmately been a supporter of the transgender community for a long time, even having one as his co-host on his Vice show.
Tambor was a huge asshole that day. He thought whatever contrived drivel he had to say on the subject, as an actor, was way more important than what Jimmy or Opie had to say.
This is one time where Opie and Jimmy were 100% right and the guest was a complete cunt. Don't let your hate of Opie and/or Jim cloud that. There's plenty of legitimate things to gripe with them about. This one isn't. This was an actor thinking he's above everyone else and everything has has to say is the most important thing ever said on a subject.
He trolled Jimmy really hard when he was on a few months ago, it was great because you could hear the infuriated conflict in Norton's voice in the aftermath, since he loves "And Justice For All..." so much.
He was on the show a long time ago, and he was great - honest, willing to answer just about anything, didn't take himself too seriously, etc. Opie probably hates him for the same reason he hates most people - they have talent and can stand on their own, and he doesn't and can't.
There were so many shit interviews back in the Steve era, i get them confused. Maybe Tambor turned the show down later on or something, thus then opie's hate.
