A lot of folks did, but I tapped out on Di awhile ago.
Opie burnt her out, and I honestly think a lot of her on air internship drama was manufactured, and not "above all else real"
I chose this because it was all 3 working in perfect harmony like we all remember.
I'm probably biased, the Lady Di bit was right around the time I started listening to O&A every day. I thought the first couple days in particular were amazing.
The whole show was manufactured. Its the radio equivalent of wrestling which is described as a "soap opera for men". 90% of the "bits" were fake as shit.
http://youtu.be/wcVpPeKTq4c?t=2h18m12s : "I didn't realize that first day interns could put people in the security system" Basically, Sam admits Opie's shitty bit is flawed and stupid.
A lot of you guys put up some good contenders. I only chose this because it made my stomach hurt from laughing listening to it.
It made me think of the good old days, Opie steering the ship, but not over steering, he actually cut them off a few times to continue the clip, but not in a "hold on hold on" way.
Ant and Jims quickfire back and forth,
Most of all the fact they manufactured an entire character/alternate storyline out of one line about a loudmouth fucking housemarm getting the phone ripped out the wall, because she does too much talky, and not enough cooky or cleany.
Mr. Finley, was the star of the show, and he was not even an on screen character in the show.

They admitted at least some of it was the first day, I'll dig up the time stamps.

"tapped out"? Opie?????

Read my post history, I am clearly not the Opester.
Now that you called me out on the "tapping out" I am wishing I chose better words.
1 ptb4life 2015-01-11
yeah, just a joke for saying "tapping out"

I felt the same way. I was tired of her before the internship and focusing on her for a week was too much.
This break on the other hand had me endangering myself and others by laughing so hard behind the wheel. Ant and Jimmy at their best.

I love how violent and racist Mr. Finley is.

Look out for Mr. Finley.

I like the part where he shoved one end of the phone in her cunt, the other in her asshole, then carried her around like luggage.
Fucking Jimmy was so quick, and so brutally funny in this bit.

This was great.
But Lady Di's internship was fucking legendary.

This was all fucking Jimmy.
2 Lasagna_Hat 2015-01-11
Exactly. This was the last time I saw Jimmy on a good roll. Just funny, no other bullshit

When was this? I remember listening to this live and actually laughing throughout the bit. Probably the last time.
2 theabracist 2015-01-11
at least you were smart enough to stop listening.

This was great and it's not even my favorite Happy Days bit. The best was Ant, Jimmy and Patrice doing anti-Semetic Fonzie. Oy veeeeeey.

I thought the misheard lyrics ended up being pretty funny:

Although I hated classic music breaks in general, pretty much ACDC's line made the whole thing.
