O&J will not be taking over from Howard. Their stock is falling, not rising, and even if it was, they'd still be nowhere near Howard's level. There's a reason they pay him tens of millions a year meanwhile Ant was let go at the first sign of panic, Howard and O&A (let alone O&J) are worlds apart.

What do you mean "take over his spot"? They are already on at the same time. If you mean the top show, SXM can't force people to listen to O&J. They don't have close to the same following or name recognition as Howard and that won't change when he leaves.

They are going to give them his studio. And they will get the top guests. And Sirius will promote them a lot...

Their time shift change to be on 30 min after Howards show finished so his viewers would have time to find the show before he quit. Also.They put Ron and fez on a different channel to catch more Stern listeners. Theres a huge void in the market of asshole radio and you think they are just going to ignore it when stern leaves?

The truth is, Sirius wanted to get rid of Ant. Like I've said from the beginning that hooker incident with Ant was all a publicity stunt for Ant's podcast. The real reason why they fired him, is that they were trying to save money and change the direction of the show. Sirius made it clear to him that they would not re-sign his contract. Sirius wanted the show to be toned down a lot, with more celebrity interviews. They want the show to be a lot more "nice", and Ant brought a negative vibe to the show ( which I personally loved).

They are both pretty negative but I would think that SXM management would have wanted to get rid of Opie based on his rants. At this point he's their boy however.
