Jim has started up an email mailing list to announce stand up dates, presale passwords, etc. Without trying to get too far in to faggy conspiracy theory territory, is this a sign that the show isn't reaching the audience he needs? For ten years he was fine just announcing that stuff on the show, but he must be getting the feedback that that isn't a good enough way to reach his fans anymore. I can only imagine the amount of negative feedback about OpieRaqio he has to hear at shows.

I saw him on NYE (he actually killed, funniest he's been in the three times I've seen him) and it was all handshakes and smiles. He dropped the Opie Radio credit from his stand up bio so I assume he knows the show isn't doing as well and is separating that from his comedy career.
