It's funny how Opie threatens to cancel the show, insinuating they should split up. However about 6 years later (not sure of the exact date of this video) Opie, Anthony & Jimmy can't sign quick enough.
Opie also talking about going their separate ways. Now you know why he had the Opieraqio signs ready, twitter handle with a twitter name that could be a radio station name. This was well planned. Not saying he knew Ant would get fired, but he planned on going his own way for a while. There is no chance in hell Ant and him ever get back together. Solo creep is how Opie wanted to go for a LONG time. Jimmy had 0 chance of getting his name on the station.
It's really revealing, seeing how people behave when they have a heated argument like this. You can learn a lot about someone based on what ammunition they put in the clip. After all is said and done, you listen to Ant and he says he loves doing the show and he doesn't want to do anything else, while Opie is trying to say how he could leave tomorrow and do something else and they're going in different directions. Opie always seemed like he wanted to do the "king of all media" thing while Ant sounds like a dude who just loves where he's at. He really, actually thinks he's a radio personality who can branch out into other shit. He's put absolutely no work into developing an interesting personality or view point, but he wants to build this portfolio and he's just so awful. So goddamn awful.
whenever ive heard this clip to me it has always sounded like ant is holding back because of dirt that opie has on him. him saying leave it alone makes him sound like a fat housewife named barb but id bet hes referencing knowledge or proof of certain things that could get ant in deep deep shit. his mushy titted female way of dealing with this is inexcusable but to be honest it must be really awkward when your 50 some year old coworker is partying with the class of 2017.
