No matter the topic, its like he only has 4 places he can go: 1) hookers, 2) deviant sex (eg scat, trannies) 3) deviant violence (eg murdering old people or children or retards) 4) his characters. And uncle Paul = #2, and Chip the "bad joke teller" has been done to death and in better ways, and its way funnier when they're earnest/actually trying as opposed to this detached, ironic, conceptual shit. The vast majority of his shtick seems to be going for a "shock" laugh, but the shit he talks about would only be shocking to, I'd assume, middle America Christians who've only had sex in the dark, 3 times, and only with their wife for the purpose of having children, not jaded Jew Yorkers or the average O&A listener.

I swear I'm not just jumping on this recent hate bandwagon; I never really got the appeal of Jim, especially his stand-up, but I never liked him on Tough Crowd or on the air, either. I listened for Ant, Patrice, Colin and Louis, and I always got the feeling that the other NY comics that came in kinda looked down on Yimmy, kind of like he was someone's little brother who was just tagging along

But I would LOVE for you to change my mind. I would love to find Jimmy funny, I really would. So if any of you can honestly say that something Yimmy said made you laugh out loud, please apprise me of a clip. A story, a joke, a funny line, even if a Chip or uncle Paul line honestly made you laugh hard, I would love to hear it. Because I just don't get the appeal.
