I hate how Opie frequently and exclusively mocks his old stuff yet gets pissed at the slightest contemporary criticism. This old stuff is meant to show Opie can take a joke and is "magnanimous" as Colin Quinn puts it but it is so fake.
How is 1996 Opie worse than 2014 Opie? I think I prefer him 20 years ago.
