The recent podcast classic Christmas version was great. Ant and Jim were on fire. Opie was almost tolerable. I enjoyed it. Fa la la la.

They used to say that the worst thing O&A could do was play old clips from WNEW and compare them to what was being broadcast on satellite.

It showed how shit the show had become after they moved from Regular Radio.

If you listen to full shows from WNEW - they had good bits and a lot of filler. They would milk a good stunt or guest appearance for a week. Breuer in on Wednesday means Friday "Worst Of". Why show up when you have that material you cannot top.

So, we had the distillation of the top material from WNEW floating around on the internet and people used that to pummel O&A when they worked in Satellite.

Now folks are taking the best clips from Sirius/XM O&A and using that to beat up Opie and Jim - same shit - different time.

It is reinforcing the truth of the old [Brian Regan Bit] "This is not what I am used to"(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27LzPvvpqHY). Ironically, straight from the early days of WNEW when people bitched endlessly about the O&A show.
