Opie's voice

I quit listening in July, but I checked out the first 5 minutes of today's Christmas show on youtube. What the fuck happened to Opie's voice? It turned into this low, bored-sounding monotone droning. Has anyone ever asked him about this? Granted, WBAB-era voice was annoyingly "dudebro"-like, but this can't be any better...can it?

It's a fake voice he puts on in place of any personality. It only gets worse when Florentine is on.

Seriously. I don't know if he does it intentionally when Florentine's on, but Opie lowers his voice, draws out his words and just generally puts on Florentine's mannerisms and everything. It's awkward.

In the past he has said that he was such a fuckin psycho that he yelled his voice out over the years and this is the voice you're left with. Granted, Anthony has screamed at callers on the air as much as Opie and his voice didn't make this drastic of a change but hey.. Opie wouldn't lie... I doubt he turned the bass up on his mic and is intentionally doing a deeper voice...
